Exploring the Energy Project Endorsements – ALTA 36 Series

The ALTA 36 series of energy project endorsements were developed for use on energy projects. Seven endorsements comprise the 36 series. The endorsements generally combine elements of the ALTA 9 and ALTA 13 series endorsements as well as the ALTA 31 (Severable Improvement) endorsement. Alternative energy projects, which have become much more numerous in recent years, almost always entail aggregations of several parcels of land. Alternative energy transactions, perhaps more than any other, have seen customers and title insurers craft specific endorsements unique to the sorts of issues presented by the projects.
